Mini Golf and the personalized home decor
so today, (LEAP DAY) Drew and I decided to celabrate this very special day by going and playing mini golf this afternoon instead of working. and then we went and also got some tacos and horchata, and played about in the indoor climbing gym. All in all, a great day I would say.
We then decided that the home needed some personal touches, Office Depot helped us out there, ha ha.

Woodson, Again....Robin's Crack.....Again
Well, It looks like another crappy day in Woodson. Yup. Another, day, spent out side in the sunshine. CLimbing things and eating penutbutter and Jelly sandwiches. Drew, Chris, and I all packed it up this afternoon and headed out to Woodson again. where is located what just might be some of the most awesome bouldering in the area. Though I have FAR from exporored about, but how can I got Wrong with a place as cool as Woodson? Serious.
Sickle Crack, cool....I didn't get to play on it, as I tweeked my ankle on a boulderin problem 1/2 way though our day. But no never mind, I got to be camera girl instead.
Me.....crackin out on Robin's crack yet again.

So it finnaly happened, I climbed until I wore out my finger pad, dag! But at least i did a couple more climbs after it finnaly wore off, just to be sure that my prints were good and gone. I thought that they were gunna go soon. and crack climbing in Mt. Woodson, well, I guess that did it. ha ha.
.....and below, my first crack bouldering problem, i was so excited that I did it about 5 more times, a nice 5.8 crack. "Baby Robbins" It's my friend.

Joshua Tree: Week One, bleeding FINGERS
(All photos courtesy of Chris Iezzoni)
Soo, comes the close of a full week in Joshua Tree, for all those that have been trying to get ahold of me and found it useless. No phone!! ha ha ha. Take that! Well, it was a nice and toasty 70 out the first day we arrived (the 12th I belive it was) Though the next day was not quite so toasty, a mild 60.....thusrday, SNOW/SLEET...and we still managed to rope up. I couldn't feel my feet or finger dispite the hand warmer in the chalk bag trick. I was trying a climbing much too hard for me (dont worry mom, i was roped up AND close to the ground) but it made my finger bleed.
The rock out here is like sand paper of a nasty gritt. It just ripps you up. But it makes for good foot work. It is warmer the last couple days, infact a nice 70, though windy. Tomorrow should be slightly cooler and I guess that is OK. As long as the wind is down, I'm staying toasty. Taking walks, listening to the desert, enjoying the loudness of the quiet.
So more or less everyday goes like this;
Me: What'cha wanna do today.
Chris: I know, how'bout we go climb something.
Me: Sounds good.
Wake, eat, climb, eat, climb, eat, sleep, repeat.
Not a bad life.
We have been visited by a bundle or a pack of coyotes, and a bobcat made an apperance three times on out first day. Though I haven't seen them since.
...and....I am starting to feel stronger, and well, kinda like a need a shower too. Though I DID have a shower last saturday, I think. I may be running low on socks. infact. I am.
Rarww.......

Bruised hands and Mt. Woodson
Hey, short and sweet.
HAPPY AND HEALTHY in San Diego,
Took a 20 min drive from my house and guess what I SEE!!!
MT. WOODSON! Boulder, crack bouldering.....oh man
Me climbing my first 10a crack..
I did it four times......for practice
Chris repelling down a 12b crack problem. Beautiful lighting. and well, ass shot.
The really nice beautiful 12b crack "lie detector"
And since we were olnly planning a short day of climbing, we got there at 11:30am.....
....we left at 5:30something PM....just in time to see the sun on the boulders. nice. Went into La Mesa for some good Phó Soup. and called it a day. Tomorrow, off to Joshua Tree. Should be fun. Can't imagine it NOT being fun. I might even learn to lead out doors!
